I am the newbie of the group to riding motorcycles, been riding since December 2021. Never in a million years did I ever think that I would be riding my own motorcycle. I had never been on a motorcycle until I took a motorcycle safety course. While a nervous wreck I found it exhilarating and wanted more despite that I failed the riding part of that course. I continued my pursuit and was determined to pass that course and get my endorsement. Why you ask, well my husband went “shopping” and that evening before he arrived home Harley Davidson was knocking on our door to delivery 2 motorcycles. I fell in love with my bike and I was determined to be a confident rider. I took a private class and passed with flying colors and I have been on my ride every chance we get. I ride a 2017 Harley Softail Classic and I love my bike. In the end, I figure it shouldn’t matter what you ride only that you ride!
I have lived in Arizona for 54 years. After high school I attended University of Notre Dame and then later earned a Master’s degree in Human Resources. I have over 30 years’ experience in Labor & Employment Law and currently work for a vacation rental company as an Employee Relations Specialist.
In 1997, I was blessed and met my incredible husband, Shannon and we married in 1999. Together we raised an amazing son, Jacob, who is active duty USAF and currently stationed
in Cheyenne, WY.
Using the words from a very dear and wonderful friend, when I’m riding the only thing I’m thinking is “I wonder what the poor people are doing right now”. I guess it’s because I feel like I’m on top of the world when I’m on my iron horse!
